I. In the following race the horses with + numbers are all contenders. These horses are rated in chronological orders 1st through 5th ratings, they are 4, 5, 7, 10, & 13. We also add the lowest odds horse at 3 min., the favorite because the favorite has an 80%+ chance of being in the top 4 finishers. The favorite is always a contender. So the raw contenders in this race are #s 4, 5, 7, 10, 13, & 2. If you picked by handicapping one of the above horses, say # 5 earlier, she is verified by the odds analyzer as a horse likely to win or be in the money. Raw contenders does not pick the exact winner, but horses to be in the top 3 finishers. However, the odds analyzer, will not pick trifectas consistently as a - # horse may be in the trifecta too.
